HTC teases something remarkable is coming. Is this their GoPro competing product?

HTC is organising an event on 8th October that’s dubbed as Double Exposure and now its first teaser it out promising something remarkable is coming. While the video doesn’t show the product, it gives some hints on what you could possibly do with it.

Early speculation suggests that HTC is making its own GoPro-like camera that’s both rugged and waterproof. From the video, it does look like a camera which can be used for all weather activities and it could also work as a portable selfie camera. Its website recamera.com is already up while its official twitter account had posted “Taking a picture has traditionally meant you’re busy behind the camera, framing the scene. But what have you been missing?”

From the looks of it, this could be a hybrid between an action cam like GoPro and an add-on camera accessory like Sony’s QX Lens series. The device is rumoured to feature a 16MP wide angle camera which connects wirelessly using Bluetooth and WiFi. We’ll find out this coming 8th October.
