It looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is getting it Malaysian debut soon and by our guesstimate, an October release is very likely. Supporting this is the recent SIRIM certification for use in Malaysia for the device discovered by serial tipster @weisheatan via Twitter.
He also noted the certification listed the N910C variant of the Note 4 which features the octa-core Exynos 5433 (Quad-core 1.3 GHz and 1.9GHz quad-core) instead of the quad-core Snapdragon. Some — especially developers and rooters — would argue that running Exynos is a disadvantage considering the wide dev support Snapdragon devices get. Also the Exynos chips supports cat4 LTE while the Snapdragon 805 unit supports faster cat6 LTE, if you’re particular. However, in terms of raw processing power, the Exynos chip is better.
What the SIRIM listing doesn’t reveal is whether the Galaxy Note Edge will be coming to Malaysia as well. In the meantime, here’s our Galaxy Note 4 first impressions and hands-on.
Thanks for the tip @weisheatan!
