Nokia Lumia 730 Dual-SIM, Lumia 735 and Lumia 830 officially announced


Nokia has officially announced its new Lumia 830 and the Lumia 730 Dual-SIM / Lumia 735 in Berlin today. The Lumia 830 is Microsoft’s answer of delivering a flagship device at a much affordable price range and it sits right below the Lumia 930. With the growing trend of Selfies, Microsoft has finally released a selfie centric smart phone with the Lumia 730 Dual SIM and Lumia 735.

The 3 new devices will be running on the latest Lumia Denim update that’s based on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1. This latest software release follows right after the recent Lumia Cyan update and it brings new features including easier access to Cortana, Live Folders, Apps Corner, SMS Merge & Forwarding and improved camera capabilities. The Lumia Denim will be rolled out to existing Lumia devices starting with the Lumia 930, Lumia 1520 and Lumia Icon.

With the rise of affordable high-end smart phones in the market, Microsoft Devices has joined the bandwagon with the Lumia 830. Priced at 330 Euros (about RM1,378), the Lumia 830 packs a 5″ ClearBlack IPS display with HD 720p resolution, a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM and has 16GB of storage which can be expanded via microSD up to 128GB.

For taking pictures, the Lumia 830 carries a PureView camera which shoots 10MP photos from its 1/3.4″ sensor. For a optimal shot at anytime, it also comes with Optical Image Stabilisation, ZEISS optics and assisted LED flash. Meanwhile the front shooter is a 1MP camera which does 720p videos. With the latest Lumia Denim, the Lumia 830 is now capable of shooting 4K videos at 24 fps.

With a removable 2,200mAh capacity battery, the Lumia 830 is only 8.5mm thick and weighs just 150g. As comparison, the Lumia 930 is 9.8mm thick and weighs 167g.

Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM / 735

Next is the Lumia 730 Dual-SIM and the Lumia 735 (supports 4G) that comes with the largest front facing camera for Lumia device. With a 5MP front shooter, it boast the best hardware and software of capturing the best selfie moment.

In terms of specs, it gets a 4.7″ HD 720p OLED display and it also rus on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of on-board storage. If you need more, it also accepts microSD card up to 128GB capacity.

The front 5MP camera is capable of shooting Full HD videos and has an aperture size of f/2.4. Meanwhile for normal shots, the main camera is a 6.7MP unit with Zeiss Optics that boast great low light performance thanks to its f/1.9 aperture. On board, it gets a 2,220mAh capacity battery and it weighs 134.3 grams with a thickness of 8.9mm.

Pricing wise, the Lumia 730 Dual-SIM is going for 199 Euros (about RM832) while the 4G enabled Lumia 735 is priced at 219 Euros (about RM915). Like the Lumia 830, the Lumia 730 Dual-SIM and Lumia 735 will be available globally starting from this month.
