If you’re looking for a stylish 7-inch tablet, ASUS says it has just the thing for you. ASUS claims the design of the new Memo Pad 7 is inspired by clutches and wallets, and it does look like one — if you squint your eyes. The new MeMO Pad 7 is powered by a Android 4.4 (KitKat) and features a 7-inch Full HD (1920×1200 pixels, 323ppi) IPS TruVivid display and an energy-efficient 1.83GHz 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 processor, there also a 4G LTE option connectivity. For imaging, you get a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. ASUS’ amazingly effective PixelMaster low-light technology is also available
Made with a fiberglass body and duralumin frame, the MeMO Pad 7 is 8.3mm thick and weighs 269g, making it thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Three colours are available, each featuring a different finish — there’s Rose Champagne with pearl finish, a Burgundy Red model with a dark lacquer coat that ASUS says mimics that of a grand piano, and there’s Gentle Black model with a matte-black finish and texture that according to ASUS mimics the look and feel of fine leather.
No official word on when the new MeMoPad 7 will be coming to Malaysia but we expect it to be within this year. Stay tune for our hands-on videos soon.
