Sony Xperia Z3 poses for the camera and gets dismantled

The upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 has been leaked several times now. Now a fresh new set of photos have emerged which includes dismantling of the unit.

The new Sony flagship still uses a non-replaceable battery that’s embedded inside and the new image reveals a 3,100mAh capacity battery, which is slightly smaller than the current Xperia Z2‘s 3,200mAh unit. Design wise, the Xperia Z3 has a more rounded look across the corners and the sides. While this is more refreshing appearance from its current Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z2, the single colour appearance makes it unassuming like its predecessor. Being a waterproof device, it still uses flap covers for its ports and card slots.

Based on earlier speculations, the Xperia Z3 might be just a minor upgrade with a Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor that’s clocked at 2.4GHz and it is mated to 3GB of RAM. The display is reported to be slightly smaller at 5.15″ (Xperia Z2: 5.2″) and it retains the same 20.7MP + 2MP camera combination from previous models. Hopefully there are some surprises when it gets announced at IFA 2014 on 3rd September.

Head after the break for more shots of the Xperia Z3.
