Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is now available in Malaysia

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 appears to be out now and authorised retailer SenHeng has started advertising the device for RM1,299. Malaysia is probably the first to have the Galaxy Mega 2 and it was earlier spotted on SIRIM and on Samsung’s Firmware release. As comparison, the previous Galaxy Mega (6.3) which came with 16GB storage was priced at RM1,599.

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is listed with a 6″ HD TFT display, which is likely to be 1280×720 resolution that equates to 245ppi (pixels per inch) and powering the device is a Quad-Core 1.5GHz processor that’s mated to 1.5GB of RAM. It has 8GB of storage that’s expandable with microSD card and the back comes with a 8MP main camera. The rest of the hardware specs including processor type is still unknown and it isn’t listed yet on Samsung Malaysia website.

At the moment, SenHeng is running a promotion with Maybank credit cards. If you swipe with their card with Easy Payment Plan, you could get 1 month free instalment payment with 24 months duration and a free 10,000mAh powerbank as well as a dual car charger. More details over here.
