Oppo has just posted a teaser of its upcoming new 4G smart phone which has the shape of an Oppo Find 7. Nope, it isn’t the Find 7 mini. From the picture, this appears to be the Oppo R831S, which is an affordable entry-level 4G LTE device that could be priced below RM1,000.
According to its China’s spec-sheet, the R831S gets a 4.5″ display that does 854×480 resolution and it runs on a Qualcomm 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM. In the imaging department, it gets a 5MP camera at the back while the front gets a 2MP camera. Juicing up the device is an average 1,900mAh capacity battery. In China, it is priced at 1,099 Chinese Yuan which comes up to about RM565.
Of course, its specs and official product name might be tweaked once it gets here. A new 4G LTE smart phone for about RM600-700 would definitely compete directly with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4, Moto G 4G LTE edition and our local Ninetology U9Z1T.
