Acer Liquid E3 is now available in Malaysia

The selfie-centric Acer Liquid E3 smart phone is now available in Malaysia. It is priced at RM799 outright but if you’re interested, it can be yours for RM599 right now as part of its introductory offer. You can pick up a unit at All IT Hypermarket, Tesco Outlets and PC Depot. If you pre-order yours online via StoreKini, they are giving additional screen protector and a 2,300mAh power bank for free.

The Liquid E3 is a mid-spec smart phone which runs on a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Mediatek MT6589 processor and we are getting 2GB of RAM with generous 16GB of storage in Malaysia. When we first spotted the Liquid E3 at MWC 2014, it had just 1GB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage. The front gets a 4.7″ IPS display that does HD 720p resolution. The key highlight is the front facing camera which is a 2MP shooter that’s assisted with a LED flash light. If you love taking Selfies, the Liquid E3 makes it easier to take the shot single handedly with its rear mounted AcerRapid Key. Over at the back, it gets a higher resolution 13MP camera with f/1.8 aperture.

With a 2,000mAh non-removable battery on-board the Liquid E3 is 8.9mm thick and weighs 135 grams. Out of the box, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which Acer says it will be upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat later on. Check out our hands-on with the Acer Liquid E3 after the break.
