HTC Desire 210 and Sony Xperia E1 bundled for Free with MaxisOne Plan

If you’re going to talk for long hours with MaxisOne Plan, Maxis is offering the entry-level HTC Desire 210 and Sony Xperia E1 for free on contract.

The HTC Desire 210 is a new entry level dual-sim device that’s priced at RM299 outright. Positioned below the Desire 310, the Desire 210 is a notch below with a smaller 4″ WVGA display and runs on an entry level dual-core 1GHz MediaTek MT6572M processor with 512MB RAM. It gets 4GB of storage, 5MP camera (supports HD 720p video), front VGA camera and a small 1,300mAh capacity battery. Like most MediaTek processor based smart phones, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Meanwhile, the Xperia E1 is a music centric device that’s priced outright at RM459. While it features a similar 4″ WVGA display, the Xperia E1 runs on a more reputable dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor but is mated with just 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. The main camera is a smaller 3MP shooter but battery life could be better with its larger 1,700mAh capacity battery. It also comes with dual-SIM and it stands out for having a loud-speaker that does 100db. Out of the box, the Xperia E1 is running on a newer Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Both devices are available for free on either MaxisOne or MaxisOne Plan Lite options over a period of 24 months. During sign up, you would need to pay an advance payment of 2 months subscription for the Desire 210 while the Xperia E1 would require 4 months worth. For loyal Maxis customers with good payment records and port-in customers from other operators, the advance payment requirement would be waived. The MaxisOne Plan is now offers true limitless talk and SMS and you can read up more about its plan over here.

You can get more info on the Free smart phone offer at the respective Desire 210 and Xperia E1 product pages at Maxis.
