Celcom finally reveals Xiaomi Mi 3 offering. Available for Free on contract

Celcom is one of Xiaomi’s partner telco for Mi 3 smart phone bundling and they have finally revealed its contract plans for their flagship device. The Xiaomi Mi 3 is offered on Celcom First postpaid Plans which starts from RM88/month.

On contract, the Mi 3 smart phone which retails for RM769 can be yours for Free on Celcom First Prime (RM128/month), First Premier (RM168) and Celcom First Elite (RM238/month) along with a 5GB bolt-on data plan.

If you don’t plan on making phone calls and SMS on a regular basis, the cheapest plan is Celcom First Data mPro Plus which includes 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls and 60 SMS. On First Data mPro Plus, the Mi 3 is offered at RM238.

During sign up, you would need to fork out a hefty advance payment between RM700 to RM1000 which will be rebated back across 10 months. Considering the Mi 3 is priced at RM769, we don’t see the appeal of paying more than the device price for advance payment as you won’t get additional savings other than having the phone for free. All bundles for the Mi 3 are tied with 24 months contract period.

For more information, head over to Celcom’s Mi 3 smart phone page. If you prefer to get the Mi 3 outright, it will be going on sale again this Thursday at 12PM.
