Xiaomi Malaysia reveals Redmi 1S and Redmi Note price. Going on sale next month

Xiaomi will be selling 2 more smart phones in Malaysia with the Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note. The Redmi series offers impressive value and is able to support dual-SIM cards. The 4.7″ Redmi 1S will be priced at RM419 and will be going on sale on the 8th July. Its larger 5.5″ Redmi Note is priced at RM509 and will be available later on 22nd July. The sale is happening on their official mi.com/my online store at 12PM.

For those planning of buying the Redmi Note, hope you guessed the price correctly as Xiaomi is giving F-Codes for a better chance of securing a unit on sales day.

In terms of availability, the Redmi 1S grey colour unit will be going on sale first while the white colour version as seen in our hands-on will be released much later. For Malaysia, the Redmi 1S is an improved version of its original Redmi which comes with a more proven 1.6GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our hands-on comparison between the Huawei Honor 3C and the Redmi 1S.

The Redmi Note that’s available in Malaysia is the high spec version that comes with a 1.7GHz Octa-Core processor with 2GB of RAM. It also gets 8GB of storage, a better 13MP main camera and a 5MP front unit. Its flagship Mi 3 smart phone has recently undergone a price cut to RM769.
