Vertu Signature Touch: Finally a premium smart phone with high-spec internals

Vertu smart phones are a masterpiece with its fine crafted materials which are individually hand made in England. While it is premium on the outside, the past Vertu models are quite dated in specs. If money is no object to you and you want the best from a smart phone experience, here comes the Vertu Signature Touch which is just as good on the inside as it is on the outside. Build quality is no doubt top notch with the use of Grade 5 titanium alloy for the frame while the back cover is made with real leather.

The Vertu Signature Touch uses a 4.7″ display that does 1920×1080 pixels resolution, which is similar to last year’s HTC One M7. This gives a razor sharp pixel density at 468 pixels per inch, which is higher than most Full HD smart phones today. The screen is protected with Sapphire Crystal which is more robust and expensive than your everyday Gorilla Glass.

Under its premium skin, it runs on a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor mated to 2GB of RAM with 64GB of storage. The back gets a 13MP main camera with twin LED flash lights that’s certified by Swedish camera manufacturer HasselBlad while front facing shots are handled by a 2.1MP unit. For audio, the Signature Touch gets a pair of front facing Bang & Olufsen-tuned stereo speakers which supports Dolby Digital Plus surround.

Keeping this masterpiece going is a 2,275mAh capacity battery that supports Qi wireless charging. There’s no compromises on connectivity as well as the Signature Touch has 4G LTE, WiFi 8012.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE and NFC. Out of the box, you’ll be happy to know that it runs on the latest Android 4.4. KitKat. While the pricing has yet to be revealed, it is said to be priced around US$11,300 which is about RM36,500 in our local currency.

Of course having a Vertu is not just a smart phone purchase alone. As a customer you’ll get 24×7 Concierge Service and Free WiFi access worldwide.

For more info, you can check out the Vertu Signature Touch at its product page. Head after the break for its promo video & photos.
