Purported Samsung Galaxy S5 mini gets leaked with Finger print scanner & heart rate sensor included

Samsung will be rolling several variants of its Galaxy S5 and one of such model is the Galaxy S5 mini. SamMobile was tipped with a couple of photos that claimed to be Samsung’s new compact device.

The images suggest a very similar design with a perforated back cover and it still retains the same fingerprint scanner on the home button plus a heart rate sensor behind. Compared with the full sized Galaxy S5, the camera on the purported mini is more flush without protruding too much while the microUSB port is of standard size instead of the longer microUSB 3.0. With the back cover removed, the Galaxy S5 mini seems to have some water resistant properties with a rubber gasket lining up inside the cover.

Earlier on, an alleged leak suggests that the new compact model will be called as Galaxy S5 Dx and comes without a heart rate sensor at the back. In terms of specs, the Galaxy S5 mini is said to be having a 4.5″ 720p HD display and runs on a Quad-Core 1.4GHz Exynos processor with 1.5GB of RAM.

The hands-on photos look legit but there’s a possibility that this is another good knock off of the Galaxy S5. Check out the rest of the pictures after the break.
