The affordable Nokia Lumia 630 is now official in Malaysia with the price tag of RM549. This is the first Windows Phone device to support dual-SIM and it is also the first to run the latest Windows Phone 8.1. It is available in Bright Yellow, Black and White.
The Lumia 630 features a 4.5″ IPS display that does 854×480 pixels resolution and it runs on a Quad-Core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor with 512MB of RAM. There’s 8GB of storage and you can expand it further with a microSD card up to 128GB. It also gets a 5MP back camera without flash and is juiced up by a decent 1,830mAh capacity battery. The Lumia 630 doesn’t support LTE but it settles for a fast 3G HSPA+ with speeds up to 21Mbps.
In the hands, it feels solid like what you would expect from a Nokia Lumia device. The edges have a slight slope which is a familiar design from the Microsoft Surface tablet. With the latest Windows Phone 8.1, it brings a couple of new features such as Action Centre, WordFlow Keyboard, Wireless Mirroring and the ability to install apps on the microSD storage. Cortana, its new voice assistant is currently not officially supported in Malaysia.
