Sony Xperia Z2 now available in stores nationwide. Free Magnetic Charging Dock and USB OTG Cable

The Sony Xperia Z2 is also available at all Sony Xperia stores and authorised dealers in Malaysia starting from today. On Monday, Sony had started selling their flagship waterproof device online to those who have registered their interest with them earlier on.

Priced at RM2,399, the Xperia Z2 will be bundled with extra freebies including a Magnetic Charging Dock (DK36) and a Xperia Transfer Cable (EC310), which is basically a USB On The Go cable. Also included are additional value add items like exclusive music & movie contents from the Xperia Lounge.

To recap, the Xperia Z2 is Sony’s latest flagship waterproof device and it has gotten slightly bigger in size from 5.0″ to 5.2″ and now comes with dual-front stereo speakers and a built-in digital noise cancellation feature. For the Noise Cancellation to work, you would need to purchase their optional DNC supported earphones.

Update: The Sony MDR-NC31EM Digital Noise Cancellation earphones is sold at RM229.

Powering the device is a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 Processor but mated to a generous 3GB RAM which puts it ahead than some of its its competitors. The rear 20.7MP 1/2.3″ camera is same as the previous Xperia Z1 but now supports 4K video recording and comes with a number of new camera features as well.
