The Samsung Galaxy S5 will soon be receiving an update which improves the camera and the fingerprint recognition. It is currently rolled out in the UK and it is expected to extend to other international markets in phases. As usual it will be pushed through Samsung Kies and eventually over the air (OTA) sometime later.

With the new update, the camera loading time is reported to be quicker than before and the same goes for its default Photo Gallery app as well. For the fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy S5 previously requires you to swipe straight downwards which requires two hands to unlock it properly. The new update appears to have solved this issue and probably it recognises swipes done sideways while you’re holding it in a single hand. As usual, there are couple of bug and stability fixes which would improve the overall performance of the Galaxy S5.

No exact dates for Malaysian availability but we shouldn’t be waiting too long for it.
