Other than the Oppo Find 7, Oppo Malaysia has also announced the arrival of 2 new affordable smart phones that are priced below RM800. They are the Oppo Yoyo which is priced at RM798 and the Oppo Joy priced at RM398. Both devices will go on sale starting tomorrow, the 8th of May nationwide.

With the sub-RM600 segment getting more competitive, read on to find out what Oppo has to offer with these 2 latest Android smart phones.

Oppo Yoyo

The Oppo Yoyo smart phone is a 4.7-incher device that runs on a Quad-Core 1.3GHz processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM. The 4.7″ IPS display is of a decent size but it pushes a lower qHD resolution of 960×540 pixels. This gives a pixel density of 234ppi. It also gets 4GB of on-board storage and it supports microSD up to 32GB. Inside the box, a 8GB microSD is included with the Yoyo.

It also gets a 5MP main camera and a front facing 2MP unit. The battery has a 1,900mAh capacity and the Yoyo runs on Android 4.2 with ColorOS on top. An interesting feature on the Yoyo is HotKnot, a feature which dubs as a Screen Transfer Technology. Essentially this looks like a front mounted NFC and it offers faster data transfer using WiFi. At RM798, the Yoyo is positioned right below its Find 5 mini which is similar in spec but offers a better 8MP camera and a slightly larger 2,000mAh battery. For more information, you can visit the Oppo Yoyo product page.

Oppo Joy

Next we have the Oppo Joy which is their most affordable offering at RM398. It gets a modest 4″ WVGA display (800×480) and runs on a dual-core 1.3GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. Being a basic device it also gets 4GB of on-board storage with microSD slot, a 3MP main camera, front facing 0.3MP camera and a decent 1,700mAh capacity battery. The Joy also supports Dual-SIMs and it appears to have a slot for mini-SIM and another for micro-SIM. Out of the box, it also runs on Android 4.2 with its custom ColorOS. At RM398, its 512MB RAM is just too little considering its rivals like the ZenFone 4 offering 1GB of RAM at an even low RM299 price tag. For more information, you can head over to Oppo Joy product page.
