UPDATE: Motorola Moto E now official. Priced at just 6,999 IDR (RM380) in India.
Motorola has just sent out invites for a new smart phone announcement that’s hinted to “Made to Last. Priced for All”. This is possibly the launch of its rumoured Moto E which is seen to be either a replacement or a new model position below its current Moto G.
According to early speculations, the Moto E smart phone is targeting at low-cost buyers with a smaller 4.3″ display and runs on a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor that’s mated to 1GB of RAM. Other specs include a smaller 4GB of storage and 1,900mAh battery capacity. Despite its entry-level credentials, it is speculated to be just 6.8mm thin. Like the current Moto G and Moto X, you can expect the new smart phone to be running on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat with its plain vanilla interface.
More shall be revealed 2 weeks from now. We are curious to see how much lower could Motorola go in pricing for its new entry level device. For less than RM600, Malaysian buyers are getting spoilt for choice with smart phones like the ZenFone 5 and Honor 3C that comes with a decent 5″ 720p HD display and a 8MP camera.
