Xiaomi launching in Malaysia tomorrow?

Xiaomi will be coming to Malaysia this year as mentioned by its CEO in a recent press conference. Now it seems that Xiaomi could be launching sooner than we think. They have just posted a teaser image on their Facebook page to expect something wonderful tomorrow. What’s happening exactly remains a mystery but we won’t be surprised if they are indeed announcing their official presence here.

When Xiaomi was launched in Singapore, they had offered the RedMi budget smart phone as well as their flagship Mi 3 with instant sell out success. The RedMi which offers decent performance with a 4.7″ HD 720p display is priced at S$169 which is less than RM500. Its top of the line Mi 3 that was launched at an affordable S$419 (about RM1,080) is has just gotten reduced to just $339 (about RM882), making it a steal for those in the market to buy a high-end device at mid-range prices.

If Xiaomi is selling their devices officially in Malaysia, do expect the same mad rush on their online store. It will be more intense than buying zero fare air ticket due to its massive demand and limited supply. This could be the moment that Xiaomi fans in Malaysia have been waiting for.
