In today’s flagship smart phones, batteries are getting bigger with capacities of over 3,000mAh. While there are battery saving tools like Ultra Power Saving Mode to prolong battery life, charging up a device from 0% can take a long time.
When the Oppo Find 7 was announced, it features a unique VOOC Rapid Charge which charges its 3,000mAh battery from 0-75% in just 30 minutes. If you’re in a hurry, a 5 minute charge is sufficient enough to give 2 hours of talk time. This is made possible with its special 9-pin micro USB (as opposed to the standard 7-pin) and a VOOC compatible power adapter. A standard micro USB cable and charger will still work with the Oppo Find 7 but it will charge at the normal rate.
The VOOC Rapid Charge is also available on its lower spec Find 7a which is currently on pre-order at RM1,598.
