Oppo Find 7a pre-orders start next week in Malaysia. Available 15th May

UPDATE: Pre-orders for Oppo Find 7a starts on 16th April. Available only in White Colour. Full Dealer listing here.

UPDATE 2: Oppo Malaysia has uploaded the Oppo Find 7a pre-order details on its official website. You can check it out here. Pre-order starts on 16th April.

The Oppo Find 7a is finally going international and it is coming soon to Malaysia. Earlier Oppo had commenced pre-orders for the US and European markets through their OppoStyle online store.

The Oppo Find 7a will be priced at a competitive RM1,598 and it is rolling out on the 15th of May. To secure a unit, Oppo Malaysia will be taking offline pre-orders nationwide from 16th April until 11th of May.

As a special early bird pre-order treat, they are giving out a bluetooth speaker, screen protector and a phone casing package worth RM258 to the first 500. Each person can only pre-order a unit and you would need to place a non-refundable RM100 booking deposit.

Just to recap, the Oppo Find 7a is the low-spec version of the Find 7 series. It gets a 5.5″ Full HD display and runs on a capable 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB on-board storage with a microSD slot that supports up to 128GB. Juicing up the device is a 2,800mAh removable battery which supports VOOC Rapid Charge. This Ultra fast charging feature is capable of charging up to 75% in just 30 minutes, while a quick 5 minute charge is enough to give 2 hours of talk time. Another interesting feature is its 13MP Sony Camera Sensor which can resample photos up to 50MP resolution. Also for the first time for Oppo, the Find 7 supports 4G LTE including our local bands as well.

At RM1,598, the Oppo Find 7a is a steal compared to other high-end smart phones in the market. In fact, the Malaysian pricing matches its China market price tag of 2,998 Yuan. If this pricing is any indication, its high-end Find 7 smart phone with Quad HD display and 2.5GHz Quad-Core processor is likely to be priced below RM2,000.

The original source page has been taken down but the cached copy can still be accessed. Not sure if there’s any changes to the offer but we’ll find out soon enough next week.

In the mean time, check out our hands-on video of the Oppo Find 7a after the break.
