TAG Heuer also makes smart phones and their latest Meridiist Infinite has something interesting underneath its glass. The latest luxury smart phone boasts a perpetual power reserve that provides a longer battery life through its self charging technology.
Sandwiched between its sapphire glass and display panel is an invisible photovoltaic cells layer which charges the device with natural or ambient lighting. This is made possible using Wysips technology developed by Sunpartner. The result is a longer standby time and it even charges even when the battery level is down to zero.
Premium build quality is definitely not lacking with the Meridiist Infinite. The smart phone is put together with Full Titanium Grade 5 and comes with carbon inserts for a distinctive look. Details of the inner workings of the smart phone remains scarce and the official video reveals a rather traditional keypad at the front. For an added touch of exclusivity, TAG is limiting the Meridiist Infinite to just 1,911 units. It will be available in July 2014 worldwide at TAG Heuer boutiques and Watch & Jewellery retailers.
