Here’s how to get the HTC One M8 early in Malaysia

UPDATE: HTC One M8 is officially priced at RM2,399 in Malaysia.

If you can’t wait for the official HTC One M8 to hit the shelves, here’s how you can buy one before everyone else. Retailer DirectD is offering available stocks of the new HTC One M8 for RM2,598. This comes with 16GB of on-board storage that’s expandable with microSD card and supports 4G LTE. Obviously these are grey imported AP set units and it is covered by a local 24-months warranty from Brandstar.

So far there’s no word of our local Malaysian launch and the wait might continue until next month. Our southern Singapore neighbour will be selling the new HTC One M8 starting tomorrow at S$998. That’s about RM2,585 when converted directly. To find out what we think of the new HTC One for 2014, check out our first impressions and hands-on review.

For more information, you can head over to DirectD’s HTC One M8 product page.

Among the top smart phone makers, only Samsung has a firm availability with its Galaxy S5 going on sale on the 11th April at RM2,399. Sony’s Xperia Z2 is targeted to be released by the end of this month with the same RM2,399 price but actual availability dates have yet to be confirmed.
