U Mobile introduces U Care Plus 8 smart phone insurance

Life is full of unexpected moments and the same applies for your mobile devices. For greater peace of mind, U Mobile is introducing U Care Plus 8, a mobile device protection plan and insurance from just RM8 per month or RM88 per year. This value added protection is made possible through U Mobile’s partnership with Tecprotec, a company that specialises in device protection while Berjaya Sompo Sdn Bhd is the insurance underwriter. In case you’re wondering, this covers all sorts of accidental mobile device damage including liquid. For added convenience, they will even arrange a free door to door pick up and delivery service as well.

The U Care Plus 8 protection is open to all U Mobile Postpaid subscribers and is applicable for any smart phones or tablets regardless of where you purchased it. The condition is that the device must not be more than 10 months old at the time of signing up. It will cover your device up to RM1,000 worth of repair and replacement cost, and comes with additional personal accident insurance for the owner up to RM2,000. If you travel often, it also comes with Free 60 days worldwide coverage as well.

To sign up, just head to any U Mobile Store outlets. As a special promotion, they are giving out prizes including 10x Galaxy S4 to those who have signed up for this mobile protection plan.
