Oppo Find 7 officially launched. Their First 5.5 Quad HD Smart Phone with 4G LTE

UPDATE: Check out our hands-on with the Oppo Find 7 (High spec) and (Low Spec) models.

Oppo today has just launched the Oppo Find 7 which is their latest high-end flagship smart phone that boasts a rather impressive 5.5″ Quad HD IPS Display manufactered by JDI. This makes it the most dense display on a mobile device, boasting a massive 538ppi from its 2560×1440 pixels resolution display.

Another major highlight is its 13MP Camera which is further boosted by a 50MP Software Enhancement feature. Imaging is handled by its Pure Image 2.0 hardware & software solution and the Find 7 comes with six physical lens element, a Sony Sensor with a f/2.0 wide aperture.

Internally, it comes with a 2.5GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. For long usage, it also comes with a rather generous 3,000mAh battery and overall it is 9.2mm thick and weighs 171 grams. Obviously a larger battery would take a longer time to charge but the Find 7 comes with a rapid charge feature called VOOC. With a provided VOOC compatible charger, the 3,000mAh capacity battery can be charged up to 75% in just 30 minutes. The standard USB charger will still work on the Find 7 but charges with a normal rate.

Also for the first time for Oppo, it also supports 4G LTE as well. In case you’re wondering, it is LTE Band 3 & 7 compatible which is used in Malaysia.

As mentioned earlier, there’s also another model which is called the Oppo Find 7a. While it looks similar, it comes with a 5.5″ Full HD IPS display and runs on a lower but still capable 2.3GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The battery is also downsized slightly to 2,800mAh capacity.

The low end Oppo Find 7a will be available for sale tomorrow in China at 2998 Chinese Yuan (about RM1,585). Meanwhile the high-end Find 7 with its Quad HD display is priced at 3498 Chinese Yuan (about RM1,850) without mentioning its availability. For Malaysia, the low-end model is expected to come in by end of April while the High-end model would come in a bit later.

Also announced is a O-band wearable device which was briefly introduced during the event. Feature wise, the O-band is somewhat similar to Sony’s SmartBand as it monitors your daily activities, sleep and it also works as a notification with vibration alarm. It won’t be available internationally and is limited for China market for now.

Head after the break for full specs and product shots. We will be getting a hands-on with the Find 7 pretty soon.
