Xiaomi high-end Mi 3 smart phone sold out in Singapore in 2 minutes

After its sold-out success of its affordable Redmi, the Chinese smart phone maker has started selling its Mi 3 flagship smart phone in Singapore today. In just 2 minutes, the allocated Mi3 smart phones for online sales have sold out. Without definite sales figures, we can’t determine whether they sold a truckload but it sure does make a good headline of having an instant sell out product.

Priced at S$419 (about RM1,080), the Xiaomi Mi 3 is definitely a steal with a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5″ Full HD IPS display and there’s even a 13MP f/2.2 camera with dual-LED flash. It also has a rather large 3,050mAh capacity battery, NFC connectivity and 3G DC-HSPA+ connectivity up to 42Mbps. Even with its affordable price bracket, the device still comes with a aluminium-magnesium alloy frame giving an overall thickness of 8.1mm and weighs just 145 grams.

Xiaomi is expected to enter Malaysia soon in the coming months and it will be interesting to see how will they disrupt the mobile industry with high-end devices at affordable prices. Head after the break for additional product images of the Mi 3.
