Samsung Galaxy S5 Gets Early Reveal in Video

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S5 at their Unpacked 5 event tonight here in Barcelona. While we are just 16 hours away from the event, someone might have just “accidentally” revealed the device in an instagram video. The video, which has since been taken down, appears to be taken on location during the preparation of today’s Samsung Unpacked 5 event.

The video focuses on the new Samsung Gear 2 Neo smart watch but in the background we can see three similar looking but unfamiliar devices in three different colours — they could very well be the Galaxy S5.

A closer look revealed a bigger LED flash below the camera which matches the earlier Galaxy S5 casing and design reference render. From the video, it appears that the Galaxy S5 could be coming in 3 colours — White, Black and Gold — and it will still retain a removable back cover, that to our eyes, still look plastic.

It was also speculated that the Galaxy S5 will come in two versions, one being a more premium model with higher specs and the other being a cheaper base model. We believe the version seen in the video is the base model.

Head after the break for the video which was saved by @GadgetLeaks.

We will be covering the Samsung Unpacked 5 event LIVE from Barcelona today. The event is happening at February 25, 3AM Malaysian time. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates. You can also catch the official live stream on YouTube.
