The Chinese Invasion: Oppo Enters Malaysian Market Bringing Value and Performance with 4 New Devices

Chinese smart phone maker Oppo has finally landed in Malaysia, offering its line up of value and performance smartphones. Malaysians who have been following smart phone trends online would probably know that Oppo is capable of creating remarkable devices such as the Oppo Find 5 which offers a 5″ Full HD display at only 6.9mm thick. Those wanting to own one had to resort to grey importers which lacks the peace of mind of buying an official product. With Oppo setting up shop here, now you can get your hands on their smart phones backed by an official local warranty.

Malaysia and Singapore are both new markets for Oppo which adds up to its network of international presence in Thailand, Indonesia, India, Vietnam and Mexico. Its CEO William Fang has expressed his enthusiasm in the Malaysian smart phone market and they will be aggressive in building its presence locally. Oppo Malaysia has also shown commitment for after sales service and they have planned out 9 service centres nationwide located at Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Ipoh, Kota Bahru, Kuching, Melaka, Kuantan and Kota Kinabalu.

The hero product of the day is the Oppo N1 which comes with a signature rotatable 13MP camera. William Fang has added that more than 1,500 engineers were involved in the R&D process of the producing the N1. As a smart phone company, they claimed to have produced over 200 patent applications on a monthly basis for technology innovations. To ensure that the Oppo N1 can withstand the rigorous daily usage, the rotatable camera was tested to withstand over 100,000 rotations without any faults reported. The Oppo N1 smart phone with 16GB of on-board storage is priced at RM1,798 and will be available sometime next week across its network of dealers. Other 3 devices were launched as well which includes the Oppo Neo at RM598, Oppo Find 5 mini at RM998 and Oppo R1 at RM1,298. We will be posting more info on the 4 Oppo models shortly.
