The upcoming Sony D6503 handset is now caught on video and it gives us a peak of what to expect in the upcoming interface that’s running on Android 4.4 KitKat. Overall, the look and feel mostly remains unchanged from the existing Sony UI that’s running on the current Xperia Z1. However you’ll notice a couple of subtle changes on the lock screen and the top status bar. The battery status icon is similar to what we’ve seen earlier and the new software comes with several new themes and revised widgets.
The upcoming device is speculated to be called the Xperia Z2 and rumoured to be running on a 2.3GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM along with a larger 5.2″ display Full HD display. While it retains the similar 20.7MP shooter, the new model will be capable of shooting 4K videos and is expected to come with various new software based smart features. The new device is expected to debut at MWC 2014 at the end of this month and it is likely to be launched in our region on the first week of March.
