Sony has pushed yet another software update for the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra. While it isn’t the Android 4.4 KitKat update which we hoped for, the new firmware (14.2.A.1.136) which runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean offers a number of new improvements.
Now there’s an option to tweak the white balance of the screen. Apart from that, the new update also fixes stability issues related to WiFi & Bluetooth connectivity as well. In the software department, Sony has also improved its native applications such as Contacts, Email, Messaging and its overlay small apps.
At time of writing, the update isn’t available Over the Air (OTA) and it is available only through on Sony’s PC Companion desktop software.
