LG G Flex now official in Malaysia?

UPDATE: It appears to be that the RM2,499 unit is a grey import AP set. IPMart has updated the warranty info to IPMart Warranty. Thanks Najib for the update in the comments!

The curvy LG G Flex appears to be officially available in Malaysia through its listing on online retailer IPMart. Usually they would mention “IPMart Warranty” for grey import AP sets but this one is listed with LG Warranty of 12 months. The G Flex is offered at RM2,499 which comes with 32GB storage.

As comparison, the grey imported units were initially offered at a rather pricey RM3,599. Just about a month ago, the LG has announced its global roll out of the device with our southern neighbour Singapore offering it at S$1,088 (approximately RM2,800).

The G Flex is Samsung’s curved smart phone rival for its Samsung Galaxy Round and it offers a rather high spec internals with a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and a rather huge 3,500mAh battery. The front flexible display is a 6″ P-OLED unit but display resolution is a step down at HD 720p. It also gets a 13MP camera, 4G LTE support and a unique self healing back cover that protects it from minor stratches.

At RM2,499, the LG G Flex is RM100 more than the current Samsung Galaxy Note 3 flagship and having a curved display offers that extra exclusivity for those who’s looking for something different.
