Samsung Goes Gaming with the Smartphone GamePad

Samsung has officially announced that it is going big with mobile gaming with the unveiling of the Smartphone Gamepad, a wireless game controller for your mobile device.

The Smartphone GamePad promises to up the ante for mobile gamers offering a gaming experience that’s more like a dedicated console than a mobile phone. The GamePad attaches to Android devices with screen sizes from 4-inches to 6.3-inches and connects via Bluetooth with NFC pairing capability for gaming on the go. Users can also connect compatible devices to a big screen TV through an HDMI cable or DLNA for a console-like gaming experience while using the GamePad.

Together with the GamePad Samsung has also released the Mobile Console app that gives users quick access to games and look for GamePad supported games.

The GamePad is is currently available in select European markets and will be available in other regions in the coming weeks but nothing is firm for Malaysia at the moment.
