Acer Iconia W4 Windows Tablet Debuts in Malaysia

Acer Malaysia today introduced the Iconia W4, an update to its Iconia W3 Windows 8 tablet released in July this year.

Announced about a month ago, the Iconia W4 runs Windows 8.1 and feature an 8-inch 1280×800 IPS display pushing out an unimpressive 189 ppi but the viewing angle is a wide 170 degree.

Powering the device is the Intel’s Atom Bay Trail quad-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on board storage with microSD card expansion. You also get a 5MP rear camera with 1080p video and a 2MP front-facing camera.

There’s a 4,960 mAh battery which gives the Iconia W4 a claimed maximum of 10 hours of web browsing battery life. In terms of connectivity, the Iconia W4 comes with a micro USB 2.0 port, a micro HDMI port with HDCP support and WiFi 802.11b/g/n.

The Iconia W4 is priced at RM1,099 and is available from Friday at major Authorised Acer Resellers nationwide.
