UPDATE: iPad Air officially available at 10 outlets across Malaysia on 5th December.

UPDATE 2: Full iPad Air pricing revealed. From RM1,599 for WiFi & RM2,029 for WiFi + 4G model.

UPDATE 3: 2nd gen iPad mini with Retina Display now officially available in Malaysia from RM1,279.

It looks like Malaysia would getting the new iPad Air & iPad mini with Retina Display this week. Retailer SenQ has placed a subtle hint of the “best year end gift” will be available this Thursday on 5th December.

In terms of availability, they have listed the following outlets without mentioning stock quantities at the moment.

senQ Digital Station, IOI Mall, Selangor
senQ Digital Station, 1 Utama, Selangor
senQ Digital Station, Leisure Mall, Kuala Lumpur
senQ Digital Station, Aeon Bukit Indah Johor
senQ Digital Station, Aeon Tebrau City, Johor
senQ Digital Station, CityOne Megamall, Sarawak
senQ Digital Station, Kompleks Karamunsing, Sabah
senQ Digital Station, Miri Bintang Plaza, Sarawak
senQ Digital Station, Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang
senQ Digital Station, Gurney Plaza, Penang

Pricing wise, do expect an increase over the previous generation of iPads in tandem with the increased pricing with the current iPhone 5S. As mentioned earlier, we’ve seen increased pricing of up to S$100 on the iPad mini with Retina Display compared to its previous model. All 3 telcos – Maxis, Celcom and DiGi too will be offering the new iPads as well and some have started offering registration of interest. At the moment, Apple has yet to make an announcement of its next wave of iPad release so hopefully this is the real deal.

Thanks @JaronYap for the heads up!
