Entry Level Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth Now Available in Malaysia

The Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth is the latest sub-RM800 tablet to hit the market. Targeted to teens, the MediaPad 7 Youth is decked in polished aluminium unibody shell, is just under 10mm thin and weighs 350g. As the name suggests, the MediaPad 7 Youth packs a 7-inch display but for the price you’re paying don’t expect to get full HD 1080p screen. Instead you get a 1024×600 pixel display that pushes a paltry 170ppi.

The budget basement MediaPad 7 Youth skimps on processing as well with a dual-core 1.6GHz processor 1GB RAM and 8GB. There’s a decent 4,100mAh battery and you can make phone calls and send text messages with the device but don’t expect to take great pictures with just the single 3MP rear camera.

The MediaPad 7 Youth is on sale in Malaysia now and while the RM699 RRP is enticing there are a number of better alternatives in the market that is just as cheap to buy but offer more.
