HTC One now available in Gold with limited release in Europe

HTC has finally released its official gold colour for its HTC One ahead of the Christmas shopping season. It joins its existing Silver, Black, Red & Blue colour options and maintains the same official pricing, which is a similar case with the iPhone 5S which is also available in Gold.

Earlier on, there was a limited run 18 carat gold HTC One that looks like C-3PO from Star Wars. Obviously that One costs more with a rather expensive US$4400 price tag.

There’s no change internally as it retails the same 4.7″ Full HD display and powered with a frugal but capable quad-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM. At the moment, the official mainstream HTC One in gold will be released in Europe at selected partners and so far there’s no word of its availability elsewhere.

The HTC One is one of our favourite device for 2013 but it is getting overshadowed by today’s latest flagship device that runs on newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Hopefully HTC will continue to excite the industry with their upcoming rumoured M8 device which is expected to debut in early 2014.
