With allegedly growing consumer demand of having larger screen smart phones, Apple is still not bowing down to such pressure. It’s current iPhone 5S is still rocking a 4 inch display which currently is the smallest among today’s flagship smart phone models.
Now a Bloomberg report suggests that Apple is eventually up sizing its iPhone displays for next year. The 2014 iPhones are said to come with a 4.7″ and 5.5″ screen size, which is similar to the HTC One & Galaxy Note II respectively. In addition, the front glass is speculated to be curved downwards over at the edges.
This could be a reaction to the recent curved smart phones that LG and Samsung has produced lately but we are inclined to believe its nothing more than curved glass edge like the 3D Gorilla Glass on the HTC One X. Apple is also said to be testing out pressure sensitive technology which will be likely to be introduced in the following iPhone in 2015.
So are we finally seeing a phablet coming from Apple? With the iPhone 5S just recently launched, it is still too early to confirm any of these yet. A bigger screen iPhone is definitely welcomed and we hope to see fresher handset designs for 2014.
