Maxis contract plans are out with iPhone 5S from RM599 and iPhone 5C from RM349

Finally Maxis has revealed its official pricing the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C that’s being rolled out in Malaysia today. The new iPhones are being offered on contract with an option of 12 months and 24 months duration on iValue Simple, iValue 1, iValue 2 and iValue 3.

Going into the plans, iValue Simple costs just RM50/month and comes bundled with 200 minutes of calls and 100 SMS to all networks along with 1GB of data. Moving up is iValue 1 at RM100/month with 333 minutes of calls and 2GB of data and these are doubled on iValue 2 at RM155/month. For the ultimate heavy duty user, iValue 3 offers 1,500 minutes of calls and 6GB of data at RM250/month. All iValue 1,2 & 3 also comes with additional 1,000 minutes of calls and 1,000 SMS within Maxis/Hotlink network. In terms of contract price, it looks similar to the plans which we saw earlier.

As per any phone bundling, the iPhone 5S and 5C requires an upfront payment during registration. The advance payment required are as follows:

12 months (iValue Simple) – RM100
12 months (iValue 1) – RM350
12 months (iValue 2) – RM500
12 months (iValue 3) – RM900

24 months (iValue 1) – RM700
24 months (iValue 2) – RM1,000
24 months (iValue 3) – RM1,600

For existing active Maxis postpaid subscribers of at least 12 months, the advance payment is waived.

At time of posting, Maxis’s iPhone 5S page mentions that there are limited stock at their outlets and those who are interested are urged to register their interest. For the iPhone 5C, Maxis website states that it is available at their outlets which can be located here.
