One of the cheapest 7-inch tablets in the market, the ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 gets a price reduction this week from its original retail price of RM649 to RM599 right now.
For less than RM600, you get a 7-inch tablet (IPS with 1280×800 pixel resolution, 216ppi and 170-degree wide viewing angle) with a 1.2GHz MediaTek quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, stereo speakers, 16GB of on board storage and microSD support for cards up to 32GB in capacity. In addition, the MeMO Pad HD 7 has a 1.2 megapixel front camera and 5 megapixel rear camera with 720p video. On top of that you also get an additional 16GB of ASUS WebStorage for a year.
With GPS and 720p video playback, the MeMO Pad 7 HD makes for a cheap and cheerful media tablet that’s perfect for casual tablet users. Factor in ASUS’ penchant for making cheap but good devices and you have all the makings of a good bargain basement tablet in the MeMO Pad HD 7.
