Apple will be live streaming tonight’s iPad event to Apple users worldwide according to its website posting. The special event, in which many are speculating that Apple will reveal a new version of its iPad mini, is scheduled to start at 1AM Malaysia time (GMT+08) on 23rd October.
Users of Apple products are in luck as the company will be streaming the event live to them. To be able to access the live stream on your Mac, you will need to run Safari 4 or later on OS X v10.6 or later. To watch it on your iOS device you need to run iOS 4.2 or later. You can also watch the live stream on your Apple TV second-gen or later with firmware 5.0.2 or later).
Apple is expected to reveal the latest iteration of the iPad and iPad mini at the event. Industry pundits and analysts are saying that a number of features first seen on the iPhone 5S — like Touch ID and Apple’s 64-bit A7 chip (currently the only 64-bit mobile processor in the market) — will make it to the new iPads. The iPad mini is also expected to be getting a Retina Display screen and possibly colour variants like the ones seen on the iPhone 5C.
In any case, we’ll be up tonight to catch the event live. Follow us on Twitter to share your thoughts as we will be sharing comments and opinions in our timeline. See you there.
