Samsung Galaxy Round announced with 5.7″ curved Full HD display and Note 3 like specs

Samsung has finally revealed its Galaxy Round dubbed as the world’s first curved display smart phone. It comes with a 5.7″ Full HD Super AMOLED 1080p display, which is similar as the current flagship Galaxy Note 3 but in a curved shape. The back also features the same faux leather textured surface found on the Note 3.

In terms of specs, it runs on a 2.3GHz quad-core processor (likely to be Snapdragon 800) with 3GB of RAM and is juiced up with a 2,800mAh battery. It also packs a 13MP camera which is similar to the Galaxy S4 & Note 3. Overall it is 7.9mm thick and weights 154 grams. The Galaxy Round will be initially released in South Korea for about 1.09 million Won which is about RM3,250 if converted directly.

Just as the name suggests, the Galaxy Round features “Round Interaction” which lets you peek on notification and missed calls by simply rocking the device. You can see this in action after the break.
