Oppo announces N1 with rotating 13MP camera, 5.9″ Full HD IPS display & massive 3,160mAh battery

Oppo has finally announced its latest flagship device which is simply called the N1. Promising a return to innovation, the Oppo N1 sets itself apart being the world’s first rotating camera on a smart phone that turns 206 degrees. No compromises when taking self shots with the N1 as it boasts a 13MP shooter with a 1/3″ sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6 element lens and dual-LED flash.

In terms of design, it uses a full aluminium frame and the body claims to be made of smooth delicate material that’s polished to give ceramic-like finish without being a finger print magnet. Powering the N1 is a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 which is rather similar to the HTC One and it is mated with 2GB of RAM with a choice of 16GB or 32GB of storage. In terms of display, the Oppo is going big with a 5.9″ Full HD IPS display and a massive 3,610mAh battery. Interestingly, the N1 has the ability to scroll from the back of the phone. Unlike the LG G2, there’s no buttons but instead uses an integrated 12cm x 12cm O-touch panel that allows you to scroll, tap or snap pictures.

Another interesting add on is its O-Click key chain accessory. This allows you to take photos remotely or use it to locate your keys from your smart phone. The only downside is the lack of 4G LTE as it only supports quad band GSM and HSPA+. Overall, the Oppo N1 is 9mm but weighs a rather heavy 216 grams. In addition, the N1 is also the first device to commercially support CyanogenMod.

Head after the break for more images and promo videos of the Oppo N1.
