Hotlink introduces always on free internet prepaid plan

With social networks being engraved in everyone’s lives, internet has become a necessity these days. Now Hotlink has introduced its new Free Internet prepaid plan which offers 24/7 internet at all times.

So what’s the catch? Well the speeds by default are throttled at 64kbps which is sufficient for basic surfing and simple instant messaging. If you need more speed, you can regain full speed by topping up from RM2 for daily 100MB to RM30 for 1GB of data that’s valid for 30 days. More details on the mobile internet top up here.

On this free internet prepaid plan, calls are charged at 12 sen per 30 seconds (RM0.24/min) while SMS are charged at 7 sen each to all networks. For those preferring to survive on the free 64kbps connection, we would recommend using Opera browser for its impressive web compression technology.
