Purported Galaxy Gear Smart Watch gets leaked ahead of launch

One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 is its wearable gadget that’s expected to be called the Galaxy Gear. Now a source who has seen the device has managed to take snapshots of its upcoming commercial.

The Galaxy Gear is said to come in 2 colours – Dark Black & Grey and it uses both Bluetooth & WiFi for connectivity. A unique hardware feature is the inclusion of a 4MP camera and built-in speakers which possibly can be used for conferencing but the practicality of this is yet to be seen. Since Galaxy S4, Samsung is seeing targeting at the Sports/Fitness segment and the Galaxy Gear is expected to expand its S Health usage to the next level. Battery life wise, it is rated at 10+ hours which is expected for a device with a colour OLED screen.

The Galaxy Gear should be revealed together with the Galaxy Note 3 this coming Thursday morning at their Unpacked Event. It will be streamed live on their official YouTube channel.
