8″ Acer Iconia W3 Windows Tablet now available from RM1,199

The Acer Iconia W3 tablet with full Windows 8 OS is now available in Malaysia. Weighing just half a kilo with a thickness of 11.35mm, the Iconia W3 is dubbed as a tablet which offers desktop computing that fits in a single hand thanks to its compact 8.1″ form factor.

Powering the device is an Intel Atom Z2760 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM, and its 8.1″ touch screen display pushes a WXGA resolution of 1280×800. Juicing up the device is a 6,800mAh battery that lasts up to 8 hours. It also comes with the connectivity necessities such as Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 802.11b/g/n, micro-HDMI, micro-USB and dual 2MP cameras for front and back.

To compliment the Iconia W3’s full Windows experience, Acer is pre-installing Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 worth RM399.99 which includes your productivity applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint & OneNote. For those wanting a full sized keyboard, there’s an optional Bluetooth keyboard which doubles up as a tablet docking stand.

The Iconia W3 is now available nationwide at RM1,199 for the 32GB version without the keyboard. It’s bigger 64GB model with the accompanying keyboard will be offered later towards the end of the month but there’s no pricing details for it so far. If you need more power, Acer has a larger 11.6″ Aspire P3 tablet that starts from RM1,799.
