Sony Xperia Tablet Z now available in Malaysia in WiFi & 4G LTE variants

As hinted earlier through SenHeng’s pre-order, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is officially available today with both WiFi only and 4G enabled options. The 16GB WiFi model is priced at RM1,499 while the 16GB 4G LTE version is an extra RM500 at RM1,999. If you’re looking to buy it on contract, Celcom is offering the 4G LTE model from RM1,438.

The Xperia Tablet Z is currently the thinnest, lightest and the only water resistant 10″ tablet with a thickness of just 6.9mm and weighing just 495grams. In terms of water and dust resistance, the Xperia Tablet Z like the Xperia Z smart phone is rated at IP55/IP57 and it is able to withstand being submerged under water (up to 1 meter) for 30 minutes. As a special launch promo, Sony is giving additional 1 year warranty worth RM150 for the 16GB WiFi model while the 16GB 4G LTE model comes bundled with a Free Powerbank worth RM329. On top of that, new owners will also stand a chance to win Sony’s Smart Watch worth RM399 during the launch promo period which ends in 30th June.
