Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 gets priced at RM1,699 with pre-orders happening at SenQ

Update: If only shopping is your thing, you can order the Galaxy Note 8 from Senheng online here.

For those that crave for a “bigger” smart phone, SenQ has started accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with the retail pricing of RM1,699. That’s the same price as the Galaxy S III right now. The pre-order is happening at all SenQ digital stations nationwide and PlusOne club members will enjoy additional 1 year warranty.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is rather similar with the Galaxy Note II with a Quad-Core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage which is expandable with microSD. The front 8″ display does 1280×800 resolution which packs 190ppi. There’s also a front facing 1.9MP camera and a rear 5MP shooter which lacks assisted flash. The Note 8.0 also comes with an Infrared port as well.

Out of the box, the Galaxy Note 8.0 runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and like any “Note” series, it also comes with a S-Pen. With a 4,600mAh battery, the Note 8.0 overall weighs 338 grams and has a thickness of 7.95 grams. Just like most 7″ tablets from Samsung, it also comes with a speaker ear-piece which allows you to make calls directly but we would recommend having a bluetooth headset for that.

Do check out our hands-on experience and initial first impressions of the Galaxy Note 8.0 here.
