HTC Malaysia teases 5″ Full HD Butterfly is coming soon

If you’re hoping for HTC’s flagship J butterfly, you may add that in your upcoming consideration list. In its Facebook posting, HTC Malaysia has mentioned that the HTC Butterfly will be made available soon but not dates are being mentioned for now.

So far the device is available in 3 markets – Japan as the Droid DNA and recently in China as the HTC Butterfly. To recap on the specs, the Butterfly features a 5″ Super LCD3 display that pushes a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 mated with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 processor and 2GB of RAM. In the imaging department, it comes with a f/2.0 8MP main camera and a front facing 2.1MP shooter. Closer to home, the Chinese bound HTC Butterfly is a GSM only model. It has a 2,020mAh battery and 16GB of storage which is expandable via microSD.

For those that feel 5″ is too much for single handed use, HTC is said to be working on a 4.7″ Full HD display dubbed the HTC M7. At the moment, the specs are rumoured to be running on 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and comes with a more generous 2,300mAh battery.
