Update: We can confirm that DiGi will start with pre-orders on Monday and will start delivering the device on FridayMonday, Jan 14.
The Nexus 4 is coming to Malaysia this month and it looks like that DiGi got first dibs to make the device available to Malaysian. The yellow telco says that it will release more information about its Nexus 4 offerings on Monday (January 7).
Pricing is still unknown but an earlier listing on a forum thread in LowYat.net indicates that the Nexus 4 will retail for RM1,799. This however could be inaccurate as a senior LowYat.net forum member has revealed almost certain information that the Google phone could retail for around RM1,600.
A Monday product launch is always not a good idea for marketers and we’d like to think that LG would like to do a proper launch event for the Nexus 4 – it’s always nice to do public events over the weekends. So we’re expecting DiGi to start taking pre-orders for the device on Monday and start shipping the Nexus 4 on Friday, but that’s just a hunch at the moment.
We’ll share more information as it becomes available.
