High end Android smart phone these days are just getting bigger. While it comes with more sophisticated display pushing the pixel density to greater heights, its usability in terms of single hand usage tends to suffer. So far we have seen HTC pushing its 5″ HTC Butterfly that boast a 1080p display but now word has it that HTC is working on the next HTC One X/X+ successor which carries a 1080p display in a 4.7″ screen dimension. At 4.7″, that’s a staggering 468ppi (pixels per inch) which is 28 pixels more than the massive HTC Butterfly.
According to the source, HTC will be using Qualcomm’s 2nd generation quad-core processor running at 1.7GHz which is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Out of the box, it runs on Android Jellybean with its custom UI Sense 5. In the imaging department, HTC is pushing more on its “Amazing Camera” tagline with an improved f/2.0 13MP shooter with a front facing 2MP camera. For better audio, HTC is said to be putting in stereo speakers, dedicated Beats-designed amp and Clear Voice feature into the M7. Powering the device is a 2,300mAh battery, 200mAh more than the current One X+.
No word when it will be official but who knows it might make an appearance at CES or MWC happening next couple of months.
